Generating Block-Structured Parallel Process Models by Demonstration

چکیده

Programming by demonstration (PBD) is a technique which allows end users to create, modify, accommodate, and expand programs demonstrating what the program supposed do. Although ideal of common-purpose programming or examples has been rejected as practically unrealistic, this approach found its application shown potentials when limited specific narrow domains ranges applications. In paper, original method applying principles in area process mining (PM) interactive construction block-structured parallel business processes models presented. A tool that enable incremental discovery have described paper. The idea based on following principle: using demonstrational user interface, demonstrates scenarios execution activities, system gives generalized model specification. modified with ?|| algorithm applied weakly complete event logs used for creating demonstration.

Discovering Block-Structured Process Models from Incomplete Event Logs

One of the main challenges in process mining is to discover a process model describing observed behaviour in the best possible manner. Since event logs only contain example behaviour and one cannot assume to have seen all possible process executions, process discovery techniques need to be able to handle incompleteness. In this paper, we study the effects of such incomplete logs on process disc...

Block-Structured Supermarket Models

Supermarket models are a class of parallel queueing networks with an adaptive control scheme that play a key role in the study of resource management of, such as, computer networks, manufacturing systems and transportation networks. When the arrival processes are non-Poisson and the service times are non-exponential, analysis of such a supermarket model is always limited, interesting, and chall...

Discovering Block-Structured Process Models from Event Logs Containing Infrequent Behaviour

Given an event log describing observed behaviour, process discovery aims to find a process model that ‘best’ describes this behaviour. A large variety of process discovery algorithms has been proposed. However, no existing algorithm returns a sound model in all cases (free of deadlocks and other anomalies), handles infrequent behaviour well and finishes quickly. We present a technique able to c...

Representing Block-structured Process Models as Order Matrices: Basic Concepts, Formal Properties, Algorithms

In various cases we need to transform a process model into a matrix representation for further analysis. In this paper, we introduce the notion of Order Matrix, which enables unique representation of blockstructured process models. We present algorithms for transforming a block-structured process model into a corresponding order matrix and vice verse. We then prove that such order matrix consti...

Discovering Block-Structured Process Models from Event Logs - A Constructive Approach

Process discovery is the problem of, given a log of observed behaviour, finding a process model that ‘best’ describes this behaviour. A large variety of process discovery algorithms has been proposed. However, no existing algorithm guarantees to return a fitting model (i.e., able to reproduce all observed behaviour) that is sound (free of deadlocks and other anomalies) in finite time. We presen...
